Larry Paetkau is a retired teacher. He started teaching in Thompson, Manitoba in the mid-eighties and spent a year in 1988-89 teaching student teachers in Chongqing, PRC. He finished his career at College Pierrre-Elliott- rudeau, Winnipeg, where he taught History, English LA, and Global Issues. Larry was a member of a number of curriculum development teams at the Department of Education, including Grade 11 Canadian History and Grade 12 Global Issues and Sustainability. He is presently working as a furniture maker and reading Permanent Astonishment by Tomson Highway. He just finished reading The Dawn of Everything: A New History of Humanity by Graeber and Wengrow, and Girl, Woman, Other by Evaristo. He is addicted to K-dramas.
