Kawser Ahmed

Kawser Ahmed (PhD, University of Manitoba 2017) is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Winnipeg. He received his PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies. Dr. Ahmed is co-founder and Executive Director of the Conflict and Resilience Research Institute Canada (CRRIC), an organization dedicated to action research to experiment, pilot, and evaluate development of conflict interventions. CRRIC partners with grassroots NGOs and promotes policy dialogues and civil society engagement for the promotion of peace and justice.
Prior to coming to Canada, Dr. Ahmed was an exchange officer with the Turkish Armed Forces, an Observer-Peacekeeper to United Nations Missions in Western Sahara, and an alumnus at the Near East South Asia Center for Strategic Studies in Washington DC.
