Tuesday October 10th marks the launch of a new educational resource: Extremism and Radicalization to Violence Prevention in Manitoba (ERiM). ERiM is a made-in-Manitoba resource intended for use by Kindergarten to Grade 12 educators. Its purpose is to develop educator awareness, knowledge, and capacity in order to build resilience in youth and to help prevent radicalization to extremism and violence
The resource was created in collaboration with Manitoba educators and education stakeholders, and its development was fully supported by a grant from Public Safety Canada. The project was led by Dr. Kawser Ahmed, Executive Director of the Conflict and Resilience Research Institute Canada (CRRIC) and adjunct professor, political science,University of Winnipeg.
