Sendero Luminoso, otherwise known as the Shining Path, is a Communist guerilla organization mixing Marxist, Leninist, Maoist, and Gonzalo ideologies. First founded in 1980, their goal is to overthrow the Peruvian government, though they have largely become defunct in recent years.
