While the political idea of anarchism takes on many ideological forms, the flag has been co-opted by hundreds if not thousands of different groups. The original bisectional flag may change the top color while maintaining the black bottom. Groups may use the Anarcho- label to preface that they are an anarchist group with an emphasis on a particular issue. ex. an Anarcho-feminist flag may use pink or purple colors, whereas an anarcho-environmental group may use a green flag. An anarcho-communist or anarcho-syndicalism group will use a red flag.
